Henri Leconte is eligible to play on the ATP Champions Tour because he is a Grand Slam singles finalist. He reached the final of Roland Garros in 1988, where he was defeated by Mats Wilander. He was also a member of the French team that won the Davis Cup in 1991.
John McEnroe is eligible to play on the ATP Champions Tour because he is a multiple Grand Slam Champion, having won Major titles at both Wimbledon and the US Open. He is also a former World Number One player, holding the ranking for 170 weeks in total, and finishing four consecutive years as the number one ranked player in the world between 1981 and 1984. He also fulfils the Davis Cup title having been a member of several winning American teams.
Thomas Muster is eligible to play on the ATP Champions Tour as he is a Grand Slam Champion, having won the French Open in 1995, and a former World No.1.
Mikael Pernfors is eligible to play on the ATP Champions Tour because he is a former Grand Slam finalist. He reached the final of Roland Garros in 1986.
Cedric Pioline is eligible to play on the ATP Champions Tour because he is a former Grand Slam Champion, having reached the finals of both Wimbledon and the US Open during his career. Cedric was also a member of the French team that lifted the Davis Cup in 1996.
Pat Rafter is eligible to play on the ATP Champions Tour because he is a multiple Grand Slam Champion and a former World Number One.
Marcelo Rios is eligible to play on the ATP Champions Tour because he is a former World Number One tennis player.
Greg Rusedski is eligible to play on the ATP Champions Tour because he is a former Grand Slam finalist, having reached the final of the US Open in 1997.
Pete Sampras is eligible to play on the ATP Champions Tour because he is a multiple Grand Slam Champion, winning a record 14 in total, a former World Number One and a singles player on a Davis Cup winning team (twice - in 1992 and 1995).
Carl-Uwe Steeb is eligible to play on the ATP Champions Tour because he has been a member of three German Davis Cup winning teams, in 1988, 1989 and 1993.
Michael Stich is eligible to play on the ATP Champions Tour because he is a former Wimbledon Champion. Michael also reached Grand Slam finals at Roland Garros in 1996 and at the US Open in 1994. In 1993 and he was a member of the German team that lifted the Davis Cup.
Guillermo Vilas is eligible to play on the ATP Champions Tour because he is a four-time Grand Slam Champion, winning two Australian Open titles, one French Open and one US Open title in his career.
Mats Wilander satisfies all three of the possible eligibility requirements to compete on the ATP Champions Tour. He is a former Australian Open, French Open and US Open champion. In total, Mats won seven Major titles during his career and reached World No.1. Mats was also a member of the Swedish teams that lifted the Davis Cup in 1984, ’85 and ’87.
