Team USA and Team International split the final two matches of the Delray Beach Open on Sunday, giving Team USA a 6-2 victory after an exciting weekend of play.

In the first match of the day, Fernando Gonzalez eased past Vince Spadea 7-5, 6-2. The Chilean began striking his forehand with even more authority after grabbing the early advantage and raced through the final stages of the match.

“I think my level has been increasing since the first day,” said Gonzalez. We were both a little bit tired from the long weekend, but it was a good match from the both of us.”

James Blake received a walkover win after Sebastien Grosjean withdrew due to injury. Canadian Jesse Levine took Grosjean’s place for an exhibition match against Blake and prevailed 6-2, 6-3.
