South African Airways

South African Airways is the Official Airline and the Official Rankings Sponsor of the ATP World Tour and the ATP Champions Tour.

In April 2006, the ATP announced a three-year partnership with South African Airways that has seen the leading carrier of the African continent become the Official Airline of the ATP. The partnership has already beenextended into 2012 and provides benefits for players, officials and ATP staff who travel to the ATP’s 63 tournaments in 31 countries. The multimillion-dollar global partnership coincided with South African Airways formally joining the Star Alliance.

SAA AirplaneThroughout their 75 years of flying, South African Airways have had a vision – it was a vision of service excellence. It was a vision of advanced technology using the finest aircraft and equipment. It was about having the right people and about being globally competitive. But most of all, it was about leading by expertise and example, about making South African Airways an icon all its own. Over the years, SAA has received a deserved share of international recognition. Amongst these are: the owner of the best carrier to Africa, Travel Trade Gazette: Best Airline to Africa Award, Travel Weekly Globe's Top Airline to Africa and has a GATT Top Ten Ranking.

South African Airways offers flights between its hub Johannesburg and the destinations Buenos Aires, Sao Paulo, Hong Kong, Mumbai, New York, Washington D.C., Perth and Sydney. South African Airways (SAA) offers a distinctly African world class service also from Europe to South Africa and beyond. SAA flies from London Heathrow overnight to Johannesburg twice a day and daily to Cape Town.

SAA and LeconteSAA offers daily connections from Frankfurt to Johannesburg and Cape Town (via Johannesburg) as well as daily from Munich to Johannesburg. This unique combination of overnight flights and no jet lag make South Africa the perfect holiday destination. Customers from other countries have excellent connection flights to all SAA gateways around the globe.

SAA, together with the partners South African Express and South African Airlink, is also the Number One locally. SAA flies every hour, respectively every half hour from the hub Johannesburg to Cape Town (20 flights per day) and Durban (18 flights per day). Fast connections are also available to Port Elisabeth and East London. Even small airports like Nelspruit at the Kruger National Park are easy to reach from Johannesburg.

The solid route network opens many holiday dimensions for SAA. Thanks to numerous connections, for example to Windhoek, Gaborone, Maputo, to Livingstone in Zambia at the Victoria Falls, or to Pemba in North Mozambique you can not only visit the most differing countries, but can also perfectly combine sightseeing with a bathing holiday. This applies also to a comfortable trip to the dream destination Mauritius or to the exotic lemur island of Madagascar. Safety and comfort are in accordance with the high level of the route network.
