Appearing in his fourth consecutive ATP Champions Tour event, Tommy Haas defeated two-time titleholder Jan-Michael Gambill 6-2, 6-3 in the opening match of the 2022 Delray Beach Open by VITACOST.com as the sun set over Florida. The fans enjoyed watching Jan-Michael Gambill in action on the ATP Champions Tour for the first time since 2019.

Ten-time ATP No.1 doubles team Bob & Mike Bryan clinched their first doubles match 6-1, 6-4 over Luke Jensen & Wayne Ferreira. The Bryans are six-time champions of the Delray Beach Open and it was an entertaining match under the lights.

The 3-day, ATP Champions Tour team-event is in its 13th year and was the first-ever ATP Champions Tour event played on US soil.
