Following the doubles and under the midday sun was a singles match up between Fernando Gonzalez and David Nalbandian. David Nalbandian claimed the win 4-3 (2), 4-2 to take it to the deciding match.
Lastly, we saw Tommy Haas take on David Ferrer in the final match of the day. Unfortunately Ferrer was forced to retire with an injury. Haas led 4-1, 2-1 and moved Team Haas to victory 4-2 overall.
We’ve had a wonderful weekend of tennis here in Brazil and glad to be back after almost a decade.
